An Art Deco diamond bracelet, circa 1935.
With a variety of diamond cuts including round brilliant, square and baguette forming a centrepiece of large domed arcs with pierced sides to baguette volutes leading into a pave set graduated bracelet with a raised border.
This impressive very beautiful bracelet epitomises mid 1930’s bracelets. The bracelets of the 1920s were flat, narrow, colourful and geometric . The 1930s bracelets evolved to become all white, wide, bold, sculptural, curved and three dimensional incorporating volutes, fans and domes with areas pave set with diamonds of various shapes and cuts reflecting light in different ways particularly when arranged side by side.
