Antique diamond target brooch/pendant in silver topped gold.

A Victorian circular diamond target brooch/ pendant, comprising an old brilliant cut diamond centre (est. wt.1.04ct)a border of six old brilliant cut diamonds in pear shaped mounts, a second concentric border of six pear shaped mounts each of three diamonds and a third outer border of two diamonds in pear shaped mounts each forming obtruding points accented by smaller diamonds to both sides all silver claw /rub set to a yellow gold mount with detachable diamond set pendant loop and interchangeable brooch fitting.

People in the Victorian era were particularly fond of multi- purpose jewellery. Some of the pieces were a miracle of engineering and came with their own miniature tools in a beautifully designed and made jewellery box to aid conversion.
