Walton & Co, a striking and finely made Art Deco brooch featuring a natural large vivid blue zircon(est. wt. 12.5ct) in the centre flanked by natural vivid blue zircons (est. wt. 14. ct) with stylised flower terminals in a pierced and railed surround of diamonds set in platinum. Natural blue zircons became very fashionable in the 1920s. The colour can range from a pale aquamarine colour to the very desirable vivid blue of the zircons in this brooch. The striking bold colour contrast of the white of the diamonds and the vivid blue of the zircons with the stylised flower design epitomise a smart Art Deco brooch.
