A singularly spectacular brooch for coats and jackets

 Numerous small garnets form a large and spectacular antique gilt brooch featuring at the centre a five petal eglantine flower with a pearl cluster centre encircled by a garnet snake also with a pearl cluster head and garnet set leaves set with four further pearls suspending a pear shaped garnet and pearl drop. This fine example of a romantic sentimental jewel embodies the snake popular throughout history as a symbol of eternal love, whilst pearls symbolised purity.
