Art Deco Sapphire and old Asscher cut diamond ring.

The two old cut Asscher diamonds (est. total 2.15cts. I-J, VS) and a central fine royal blue sapphire (est. 2.30ct.) triple millegrain set in rimmed octagonal platinum mounts to the intricately pierced millegrain edged gallery and shoulders set with seventy mixed single cut and old cut diamonds (est. .75ct.)

The quality of the design and workmanship, the matching of the diamonds and the transparency and richness of the colour of the sapphire make this an outstanding Art Deco ring. It is reminiscent of the jewels of Dreicer and Co and Marcus and Co. of this period in America.
