Necklaces

A signed French Art Nouveau silver demi parure of necklace and ring, consisting of an articulated necklace in continental silver of three motifs of curving Gingho leaves, with the larger motif of six gingho leaves in loose symmetry forming the centre linked by an elongated oblong link chain to two smaller mofifs of three leaves each with the chain continuing to the clasp. The Necklace is signed ARNOULD for Edouard- Aime Arnould, who produced beautiful largely naturalistc jewellery at this time which is highly collectable and wearable now.

The accompanying ring is unsigned but in keeping with the style and quality of workmanship of the necklace, with the silver gingho leaves curling round a baroque shaped piece of mother-of-pearl to form a navette shaped ring- a popular shape with Art Nouveau designers. Not all pieces in a parure were always signed.

We have left the beautiful historic light patina untouched as it is an integral part of the naturalistic design of the jewels .
