Earrings

Ruby, diamond and platinum ear-clips from the 1940s.

Each ear clip a stylised flower with centres of early modern brilliant cut and single cut diamonds, ruby and diamond petals and polished platinum ribbons by Joseph Merrin prominent Fifth Avenue New York Jewellers.

Ms Glad the principal Ziegfield Follies dancer adored Joseph Merrin jewellery and owned a number of pieces. The ear clips are accompanied by a copy of an advertisement for this design and a copy of the portrait. Sadly we do not have the accompanying brooch.
