A spectacular and very fine large antique brooch the three dimensional bow tied with three loops set throughout with old European cut diamonds of various weights most assessed as G-H colour and estimated as totalling more than 20ct.set in sterling silver topped 18ct. yellow gold to a full gold frame and pin fitting to the rear. An exceptional piece.

Vienna whose royal family and court had close links to Britain and the important centres of Europe at this time was a centre for cultured life and its accoutrements including fine jewellery.
