Brooches

A magnificent and rare Art Nouveau silver gilt pierced work buckle with typical Art Nouveau flowers, buds, leaves and swirling tendrils in carved continental silver with applied flower clusters and leaves of old cut round and pear shaped faceted gems, predominately amethyst with a few garnets, all in a swirling reeded frame. The flowers, leaves and scrolls of the reverse are also beautifully engraved. The clasp for the hook is stamped with unidentified marks.
